Job Description

User-Centered Design | Hybrid Work | Porto | 60–80% | Duration: 6 months (from Sept or by arrangement)

With teams in Zürich, Nürnberg, and Porto, we develop data-driven, human-centered tools that support public and private institutions across Europe and beyond.

Your Role: We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer (Freelance) to help evolve the user experience of our digital platforms — from component-level UI to journey-level flow. You’ll collaborate with developers, product owners, and delivery teams to design clean, scalable, and responsive solutions.

This 6-month engagement (starting September or by agreement) offers a freelance, hybrid setup with flexible capacity (60–80%) — and the opportunity to extend or convert to a permanent role.

  • Your Responsibilities
  • Lead UX/UI design for web-based platforms and tools.
  • Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
  • Maintain and evolve our design system (components, tokens, structure).
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers and delivery teams.
  • Support usability testing and apply iterative improvements.
  • Help improve user journeys, interface structure, and visual consistency.
  • Support visual assets for communication and slide decks.
  • Your Profile
  • 5+ years in UX/UI or digital product design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating responsive, component-based design.
  • Hands-on experience in Figma, design systems, and prototyping.
  • .Strong UX foundation and excellent visual craft
  • Collaborative and self-directed work style.
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken).
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. finance, legal, insurance).
  • Visual/corporate design skills (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Familiarity with design for AI-integrated tools.
  • Professional communication via LinkedIn or content formats.
