Job Description
We are looking for a talented and motivated UX/UI Designer to join our cross-functional team, where you'll play an integral role in shaping the user experience of both our applications.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside skilled designers, product owners, and developers to create intuitive, user-centered design solutions for products used in critical environments, such as public safety, telecommunications, and dispatch-related systems.
As a UX/UI Designer, you will work closely with various stakeholders to conceptualize and implement design concepts, structures, and graphic elements for user interfaces.
Your contributions will directly impact the development of products used by professionals in high-pressure settings.
Your Contribution To Something Big
Evaluate & Analyze:
Assess the current user experience of existing applications, and identify opportunities for UX improvements.
Collaborate:
Work with product managers, developers, and other designers to define and create intuitive, modern user interfaces for mission-critical software applications.
Design:
Develop wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using design tools like Figma. Create graphic assets (icons, layouts, visual elements) using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
User Testing:
Conduct user testing and usability reviews to ensure designs are effective. Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
Design System & Specifications:
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a cohesive design system. Provide clear UX documentation and specifications for development teams.
UI/UX Optimization:
Ensure designs are visually compelling and align with user needs, especially in high-pressure environments. Troubleshoot and optimize existing UI elements.
Standards & Best Practices:
Adhere to established design principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility guidelines. Promote best practices within the team to ensure high-quality design work.
What We Expect From You
User-Centered
Design:
Experience with User-Centered Design (UCD) methodologies, conducting user research, and turning insights into actionable design solutions
Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of discussing and presenting design decisions to diverse teams and stakeholders
Design Proficiency:
Proficient in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and collaboration. Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and similar tools.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and stay aligned with project goals. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex design challenges.
Usability Expertise:
Solid understanding of usability, accessibility, and responsive design principles
Adaptability:
Ability to work in an international and flexible team environment with strong communication skills in English.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
UX/UI design experience, ideally in enterprise software or mission-critical applications.
Experience in designing for web applications and desktop applications.
Proven track record of creating polished UI/UX designs and visual assets.
Experience conducting usability tests and iterating on designs based on feedback.
Strong understanding of design patterns, interaction design best practices, and UI standards.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments.
Experience designing for public safety, telecommunications, or dispatch applications.
Familiarity with creating UI/UX for products with high-stakes or time-sensitive workflows.
Experience with or interest in developing and maintaining design systems for scalable applications.
Ability to participate in regular design and project sync meetings with engineering and product management teams.
