Overview

Mastercard’s digital payments strategy is accelerating the transition from card payments to digital payments, using mobile phones and other devices to support issuers, merchants, and wallet providers. Consumers are expanding their range of digital activity across channels/devices every day, and you can be a key contributor in driving this evolution.
We are looking for a brilliant and passionate Product Experience Designer to join our Mastercard Digital Enablement Services team, with a primary focus on B2B customer self-service journey. The purpose of the role is build UI for customers (internal and external), optimize user experience and support the scaling of the Automatic Billing Updater (ABU) product.
Role
This role is situated within the Product and Engineering group at Mastercard, and will report to the Director of Product Experience with Digital Services.
You will be responsible for developing and executing customer experience strategies and UX & UI, primarily for the ABU application, and potential work on other large/complex B2B web applications.
This role requires skills and experience in UX and project management - the candidate should be comfortable planning and executing large design efforts as well as small rapid product enhancements and driving UX & UI initiatives while also tackling a robust volume of backlog items.
This role is for a fixed term, 12 months contract.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- User research, customer journey mapping, understanding and usage of personas, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, visual & UI design, and usability testing for browser based B2B web applications and internal/external enterprise systems.
- Partnering with key stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Delivery, Account Management, etc.) to understand business requirements, gather stakeholder inputs, and generate, assess, test, and prioritize ideas for an optimal customer journey or product enhancements.
- Gathering and analyzing customer feedback and usage data to inform UX & UI strategy, roadmap and product improvement recommendations.
- Leveraging data and analytics to drive critical thinking and identify opportunities.
- Creating user journeys and UI screen designs in Figma.
- Crafting engaging experiences that drive adoption and use in-market through thoughtful and usable interaction, content and visual design using established patterns and elements from Mastercard’s governing in-house design system.
- Driving other digital payment customer experiences as needed by the ABU team.
Requirements
- UX & UI design professional with knowledge in the B2B, SaaS, web software space, skilled in user-centered design principles, interaction design, user interface and visual design best practices.
- Experienced in transforming customer insights into actionable opportunities and working with product and engineering teams in agile environments.
- Hands on experience in creating UX for front-end applications including user journeys & UI screens designs.
- Degree and/or qualification in a relevant subject such as user experience design, UI/web design, graphic design, information experience, interaction design, psychology, computer science or a related field.
- Professional experience with demonstrable UX & UI portfolio.
- Skilled in using Figma and FigJam.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
