In the Power Systems Integration area, you will have an important role in the organization within Vestas. In Power System Integration we span across being in very close interaction with the market as well as being involved in various R&D activities with external collaborators while focusing on product development as our main goal. AEP & Environmental is a sub module of the Power System Integration module and is responsible for the design and development of solutions protecting the environment while ensuring maximum energy production of the power plant. The main focus areas are non-mechanical solutions related to Avian protection (birds and bats), Light pollution (Flickering shadows and Aviation lights) and Ice Control/mitigation. We work with internally developed systems as well as integration to 3rd party systems.

The department currently consists of a mix of Software specialists, architects and developers working from offices in Denmark (Aarhus), Portugal (Porto) and Poland (Gdansk), and this position is based at the Vestas Technology Center in Porto, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• You will join a global team of specialists, technical leads and developers and work in a Scrum team with software development. In this role your responsibilities will be:
• Code and implement solutions and automated testing and corresponding documentation
• Engage with functional leads, tech leads and other colleagues to support breaking down requirements and estimations in the projects
• Interface to both the field and project environment to provide software solutions that cater to customer needs
• Act as peer reviewer on code and documentation

• Qualifications
• You may hold an engineering degree (B.Sc or higher) within Software, Computer Science or similar. If you have acquired skills in other ways please also drop an application
• You have experience with .Net Framework/Core and interest in full stack development
• Other technologies we work with that you will be exposed to, which are nice to know of, but not required to apply:

• To align with the goals of this role you should be able to work on an individual basis with technical tasks as well as in a team and build a network with stakeholders, functional leads, technical leads etc:
• Interest and willing to work in a SCRUM team, and willing to support the team's sprint goals
• Minimum 2 years of experience with coding and implementation
• You are fluent in English, both written and verbally
• Attention to detail in coding and implementation
• Can elevate yourself to see the broader picture as well as the technical details
• Ability to engage with people and seek information and clarifications yourself
