Calculation Engines Developer

As a developer on the Calculation Engines, you will be responsible for providing massively scalable calculation services based on highly distributed architectures, and for use in other applications such as risk calculation tools, stress tests, or simulations.

his position will also involve managing the integration and exposure component of the calculated data (DataStore), which includes the integration of functional quality control rules for this data.

• Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Develop functional enhancements while considering performance issues for both very large and very low volumes of data.
• Manage the technical migration to enable the segregation of hot data (in a relational database) and cold data (using Hive).
• Ensure thorough analysis of production incidents and implement necessary measures for resolution and prevention.

• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• 4-5 years of work experience, with a preference for experience in Big Data
• Interest in API’s development
• High Proficiency in developing with Scala, Spark, Hadoop, and Hive
• Experience around Java, SpringBoot, API’s and microservices
• High Proficiency with relational databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• English fluency, both written and spoken (French will be a plus).
