Emagine is currently seeking a Developer/System Programmer to join a long-term assignment with one of our international clients in the insurance sector. This is a strategic opportunity to be part of a release management transformation, contributing to the implementation of a new release system while supporting the decommissioning of legacy tooling.

The selected professional will join a highly skilled team within a stable multinational environment, supporting the transition and long-term maintenance of core systems. This position is hybrid and based in Denmark, with a potential start in late August.

  • Your main responsibilities:
  • Contribute to release management activities and source control system operations.
  • Maintain and develop custom tooling using REXX, PL/1, and JCL within the z/OS environment.
  • Support and maintain ISPF panels and skeletons for system automation and scripting.
  • Perform DB2/SQL development tasks and assist with test data masking.
  • Operate within z/OS Unix environments and assist with data and job flow orchestration.
  • You bring:
  • Strong experience in system programming and software development in mainframe environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in REXX, ISPF panels and skeletons, JCL, Db2/SQL, and z/OS Unix.
  • Familiarity with tools and practices related to release management and source control.
  • Experience with PL/1 and test data masking solutions is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of OPTIM and experience with Marsking of test data is a strong advantage.
  • A proactive and reliable mindset, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and support knowledge transfer during onboarding.
  • Fluency in English.
