Backend (Java) Developer

Your Role

As a Backend Developer (Java) with a Finance/Fintech background, you'll be part of a newly established development team building innovative solutions for trade finance operations.

You'll design and implement scalable backend systems, ensuring security, compliance, and data integrity.

You'll work closely with frontend, QA, and DevOps colleagues to deliver robust features and maintain high system performance.

What You'll Do

Design and implement backend systems for trade finance operations

Develop modules for billing, credit limit monitoring, and real-time reporting

Define microservice architectures and APIs

Ensure scalability, data integrity, and security in all system designs

Integrate with external financial APIs, credit bureaus, and third-party systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient and compliant solutions

Financial and compliance-driven systems

What You'll Bring

Strong expertise in Java and SQL

Experience with Spring Boot, JPA, and RESTful APIs

Solid knowledge of messaging and microservices architecture

Understanding of financial systems and compliance requirements

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

Strong sense of accountability, organization, and proactive communication

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial & transaction processing and reporting

Background in fintech or banking platforms

Bonus: Knowledge of trade finance or lending platforms
