Our client is a leading European energy company driving innovation through digital solutions that support the energy transition. They’ve established a Tech Hub in Lisbon to develop cutting-edge platforms for e-mobility and smart infrastructure, working in an agile, international environment.

They’re looking for a Java Software Developer with strong experience in backend development and cloud technologies to join their growing team in Lisbon. You’ll design and operate scalable systems for electric mobility, contributing to architectural improvements and driving product innovation.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Backend Development with Java/Spring Boot: Build and maintain backend services for e-mobility platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Cloud-Native Development: Design and implement solutions on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Architecture & Design: Apply Domain-Driven Design principles and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work in a DevOps team, taking ownership of topics and fostering team spirit.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement new requirements, refactor existing code, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Best Practices: Apply Clean Code, TDD, and design principles for REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
  • What You Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise software development and operations.
  • Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot, NoSQL databases, and modern backend architectures.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code is a plus.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (React or Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with tools like Maven, Gradle, NPM, Node, Git, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Portuguese or German is a plus.
