Caretag develops solutions used by hospitals to track and manage surgical instruments using RFID technology. Our platform supports complex clinical workflows where usability, reliability, and performance matter in everyday practice.

To support these workflows, we are looking for a Senior Web and Mobile Developer to take ownership of our front end across web and mobile platforms. You will work closely with design and product to turn complex designs into clear, consistent, and dependable user interfaces for healthcare professionals.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the product. You care about front end architecture, scalable components, and long-term maintainability, and you enjoy building interfaces that are both technically sound and genuinely useful.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop high-quality web applications using React.
  • Build and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using React Native.
  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, accessible UI components, including elevating design system controls into production-ready code.
  • Collaborate with designers to refine and extend our library component and design system.
  • Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Optimise performance across web and mobile platforms.
  • Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
  • Deep expertise in React.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React Native (iOS & Android).
  • Proven ability to implement and elevate Figma design controls, including custom components, tokens, and interactive states — into robust, reusable code.
  • Solid understanding of design systems, component architecture, and style guides.
  • Comfortable working with REST APIs, WebSockets, GraphQL, and gRPC.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Deep experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing: including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (Jest, Detox, Cypress) with a strong focus on shipping reliable code quickly.
