Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

???? Porto or Braga (On-site once every 2 weeks) | Mostly Remote

???? Full-time Freelance | 12 months

We’re hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for a long-term freelance project via Shakers, collaborating with an international IT consulting group specialized in complex enterprise platforms (insurance sector).

  • Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain complex React web applications
  • Develop reusable UI components
  • Integrate REST APIs and microservices
  • Contribute to UX and technical design decisions
  • Ensure code quality through testing (Jest, React Testing Library)
  • Work with Git and CI/CD workflows
  • Requirements
  • 7+ years of frontend experience
  • Strong React & modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • REST API integration experience
  • Node.js ecosystem familiarity
  • Fluent English and Portuguese

Nice to have: Redux/Zustand, TypeScript, cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
